Tickets for DC POWERBALL can be purchased at any DC Lottery retailer location. Power Ball is easy and gives players more ways to play and win. Power Ball does not have a starting Jackpot; however the starting Top Prize varies based on Sales of the Game.

Players must complete a claim form for
prizes of $600 or more. Bring or mail the signed ticket and
completed claim form to the Kansas Lottery office. Prizes of up to
$5,000 can be claimed and a check received the same day.
When the machine selects a ball, the turntable slows to catch it, sends it up the shaft, and then down the rail to the display. POWERBALL winning numbers are posted on dclottery.com, our social media platforms, and players have the option of having winning numbers sent via email. Winning numbers can also be found at powerball.com. If you win a Powerball cash prize of $4–$50,000 and have added the Power Play option on your ticket, your cash prize will be multiplied by the Power Play number drawn (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x). The wheel that was used to determine the Power Play multiplier was retired when the drawings moved to Florida; a random number generator (RNG) was used until the 2012 format change.
Powerball winnings in California are subject to federal income tax only. The drawing order of the five white balls is irrelevant; all tickets show the white ball numbers in ascending order. Players cannot use the drawn Powerball to match one of their white numbers, or vice versa. Players can select their own numbers, or have the terminal pseudorandomly select the numbers (the name for this varies by state, but most are called some variation of “quick pick”, “easy pick”, etc.). ONCE A TICKET HAS BEEN PURCHASED, IT CANNOT BE CANCELLED.
